WHAT SHOULD I LOOK FOR WHEN APPOINTING A PROJECT MANAGER?

When choosing a company or individual to run your project make sure you have a detailed meeting, in our experience in your discussion you should consider:

  • Can they visualise your vision and see it's path from concept to completion.

  • Do they have experience running the size and scale of project you are undertaking.

  • Can they easily impart knowledge/experience that you may have not considered.

  • Are they focused on time/cost to ensure your project is delivered when you want it, to the agreed budget.

  • Do they understand the critical path. In order to complete a project successfully there are tasks that must happen by a defined date to keep the rest of the project moving. It is essential the the critical path is clearly defined and understood.

  • Are they a good communicator. As a project manager, constant clear communication between the client, stakeholders and suppliers is essential.
